Ella's Room

I am a girl who knows what I want.....yet can never find it, so I decided to make my own crib bedding. I am very blessed to have a talented mother-in-law who is amazing at everything she does, so usually when I want something, she will just make it for me! I can not hand-sew for the life of me.......so she was soooooooo kind to sew the fabric to the crib bumper! I got to sew the fun part....the blanket, while she made me the crib skirt. How lucky am I? I love hand-made things/gifts, and she always makes me the best stuff!

It's A Girl!

Ella Rae is her name, and she will make her debut appearance in 1-3 weeks! Hip Hip Hooray! My belly is growing bigger and bigger, and the next person who tells me how "big" I have gotten is going to get punched! Well, not really, but I would like to anyways. My husband worked very hard getting her room all done, and of course, I had a blast decorating it! The only thing left to do is finish up her crib bumper and we are all DONE!
I am super blessed to be able to conceive and carry a child...but for all of those out there who swear they loved being pregnant...YOU ARE EITHER LYING OR CRAZY! I mean, morning sickness, back aches, and the horribly heartburn, a 50 pound weight gain, cankles, swollen feet.........yea.....that sounds like a blast to me, don't you? O how I can't wait to meet Ella! This is our last child, so I know I should savior the last few weeks of pregnancy, but I would be perfectly happy if she just came TODAY.

Given it another try

I haven't been good at this blogging thing the past year, but I thought I would give it another try! I am 18 weeks pregnant now with miller baby #3 and we have my ultrasound scheduled this wednesday! Can you say "excited!???" I wish I was one of those people who could wait until the day of their child's birth...but really...anyone who knows me knows that I can not even wait until Christmas before opening my presents, if not snooping until at least I know. I have a love/hate relationship with SURPRISES. I like to be prepared and of course if its something I have to open, then I want my "game face" ready. I LOVE IT. ITS PERFECT! THANK YOU SO MUCH. :)

And the biggest reason I want to find out what this little guy/girl is.....I don't like gender neutral stuff. I want to paint the room once! Everyone keeps asking me what I want/hope for. I truely do not care either way. I just want a healthy baby. A girl would be cool because girl names are easier, and of course more fun to dress and decorate for. But I really don't want to buy more tampons then possibly needed down the road, so a boy would be AWESOME TOO! And so far, since I have one of each, I would say boys are way cheaper!
Now if a have a girl, she would be special because she would the youngest, Ava would be special because she's the oldest, and owen would be special because he's my only boy. We will just have to wait and see if Owen is going to be sandwiched between two girls or if God is going to have mercy on him. :) CAN'T WAIT.

Shopping, Shopping, More Shopping

Okay, Jon and I had WAY too much fun shopping this week. We had an awesome mothers day antique shopping in Galena. Unfortunately everything was so expensive we left without purchasing anything. =( We stopped at the coolest place on the way home outside of stockton. We found this really cool antique pie safe that we decided to purchase and use to set our tv on.

Then yesterday we went to the "Pec Thing," which is pretty much a huge flea market. I insisted that we bring the stroller along for Ava and Owen, but of course Jon always knows best. We weren't there ten minutes and next thing I know Jon is forking over $40 and buying this cool old GTO pull wagon. I looked at him and said, "didn't your mother ever tell you not to buy the first thing you see?" He replied, "I was tired of holding the kids."

Well, it turns out Jon was actually right. It was a great decision not to bring the stroller because after the flea market our next stop was Stillman Valley. I am a huge craigslist user and I found this AWESOME antique dry sink. (Had we brought the stroller we wouldn't have been able to fit this in) We plan on converting this into a wet sink once we remodel our upstairs bathroom.

On top of everything we purchased, we placed a bid on a 2007 Pontiac G6 at a local bank. Its a repossessed vehicle with only 51,000 miles. Thats like brand stinkin new to me. I have NEVER owned anthing under 110,000. Last I knew we were the high bidders so we will wait and see if they call us on Monday. I think Jon and I got our shopping fix for the next 6 months!=)

My baby O is turning 1!

Okay, I should be excited my little baby O is turning 1 in 5 days... but it makes me sad to think that this little boy that I rocked to sleep every night from the time he was born is eventually going to be soooo independent just like his sister. Maybe its time for baby number 3? LOL....I don't think my husband would be too happy about that idea. Its been a crazy busy year! Lots of Dr. appointments for little Owen, but overall, I am sooooooo amazed at how good God is. Ava and Owen are just sooooooo darn special I can't believe they are mine!
